Stinking Rose Restaurant, USA

This restaurant in San Francisco is best-suited to people with more than a passing taste for garlic. Operating under the bold statement, ‘We season our garlic with food’, dishes on the menu include a chicken roasted with forty cloves of the substance and whole bulbs roasted in little else.

Located in the city’s Little Italy, it is difficult to escape the esteemed food once inside. Over 3,000lbs of garlic are served each month and the restaurant itself is home to the world’s largest garlic braid. Along with other garlic-themed decorations, there are an estimated 2,635 bulbs gracing the interior.

The food is so potent that Virgin Atlantic Cabin Crew have been banned from dining at The Stinking Rose due to complaints from passengers. Something about a curious smell of garlic onboard.
