Les Trois Garçons, London

Whoever the three boys that founded this restaurant are, they have deliciously camp taste in décor. Minimalist it is not.

There are stuffed animals wearing jewellery, chandeliers festooned with twinkling glass and enough fabulous tat to furnish the most opulent of baroque boudoirs.

You might think the interior would distract from the food. Not so: the excellent French fare more than stands up for itself and the eccentric surroundings only add to the experience. Make sure you nip round the corner to the equally theatrical Loungelover, the restaurant’s cocktail bar.

Les Trois Garcons is located at 1 Club Row in Shoreditch.
