Solo Per Due, Italy
Do you ever wish you could have a restaurant all to yourself? No loitering waiters, no noisy diners on the next table and nobody squinting through the windows. Then this unique dining experience could be the answer - at least, if you have 500 Euro burning a hole in your back pocket.
Solo Per Due, situated in a beautiful 19th-century country house about an hour’s drive north of Rome, calls itself the world’s smallest restaurant. It has just one table, seating two. No queues, no waiting and no disturbances – you and your date have the run of the mansion and the staff’s full attention whenever you tinkle a little silver bell.
For an additional fee, you can even arrange a private fireworks display or hire a Ferrari in which to arrive.
