The dancing house, Prague

DancingHouse_opethpainter

When architects Vlado Milunić and Frank Gehry designed the ‘Fred and Ginger’ or Dancing House building in Prague, they certainly had the famous dancers Fred Astaire and Ginger Rogers in mind.

The modern glass building appears to be arm in arm with its neighbouring construction, while dancing and overlooking the Vltava River. Completed in 1996 it features one of Prague’s finest restaurants on the roof and several multinational businesses throughout the building.

Its quirky windows are also a huge part of the design and look as if they were stuck on the structure haphazardly without being aligned. The nearest metro station is Karlovo náměstí.
