Extreme Fun Pub, Bolivia

The Extreme Fun Pub is, as it suggests, pretty fun, but only extreme for those brave souls willing to down a drink of ‘llama spunk’ or ‘lady juice’ out of one of its phallic mugs.

Based in the remote town of Uyuni, Bolivia, the pub is a magnet for gringos visiting the nearby salt flats. It welcomes drinkers with live music, and more bizarrely, a sand-covered floor and deck chairs – who says landlocked Bolivia can’t have a beach?

There’s the infamous drinks challenge where punters down a stomach-churning eight shots and two extreme glasses in under 30 seconds. Anyone who manages this feat gets their name and country scrawled on the walls.

With a hilarious drinks list, warm atmosphere and lively staff it’s a great place to avoid the cold, relax and await the inevitable hangover.
