The Redneck Games, USA

With tongue firmly placed in cheek, the folks of East Dublin in Georgia decided to create an annual celebration of all things trailer trash. And so the Redneck Games were born.

Founded in 1996, this annual event attracts folk from all over the US. As well as genuine redneck music (think country and western with added crazy), visitors are kept entertained with watermelon spitting competitions and hubcap hurling contests.

Though perhaps the biggest draw for those attending the games is the Mudpit Belly Flop, where fully clothed competitors complete to create the biggest splash by launching themselves belly first into a pool of red clay mud.

And if it all sounds a little un-PC then rest assured, all profits go to local charities!
