Camel polo, England

Camel polo has a long history in the Middle East, but the sport hasn’t yet been played in Europe. But all that will change on July 9th and 10th when camels will take part in this year’s British Beach Polo Championships.

The event takes place in Sandbanks, in upmarket Poole on the south coast. A camel will also take part in a charity race between a polo pony and a Mercedes.

Visitors can also expect beach volleyball, dance shows, polo lessons and appearances from locally based celebs.

A spokesperson for the event said, it’s “sure to be a tri-hump-h!”
