Zookeeper for a day, England

Animal lovers will adore this experience in southeast England.

For a fee, visitors can don the wellies, the shovel and the tranquillizer gun (OK, maybe not the latter) and swagger into the cages of big cats, crocodiles or monkeys to go about a zookeeper’s daily chores.

The Paradise Wildlife Park in Hertfordshire runs day programmes that include feeding the animals, clearing out their cages, petting, lunch and gift bags to take away.

Insurance is included – a comforting thought when you’re caring for leopards!
