Swim in beer, Austria

If your local swimming pool was brown and frothy, would you dive in? Of course not. But how about if it was filled with beer?

An Austrian brewery called the Starkenberg is dabbling with the refined world of spa treatments, and has even filled a small swimming pool with its Pilsner.

The hops and yeast in beer is apparently good at cleansing and nourishing skin, and the owners decided that swimming in booze is the ideal way to soak in its groggy goodness.

Before you’re tempted to take a sip though, just consider all the other spa visitors that have indulged in this popular attraction. Far better to order a glass of the fresh stuff to drink as you bathe!
