Doctor Fish, Bangkok

After a hard day of exploring the streets of Bangkok, why not drop in to see some very special foot doctors who might leave you feeling like they’ve bitten off a bit more than they can chew.

The foot clinic located just off the famous Khaosan Road specializes in foot treatments given by fish, or the so called Doctor Fish. The hundreds of tiny fish exfoliate the feet by nibbling away the dead skin cells, claiming to make the skin smoother. As many as ten people at a time can sit comfortably around a tank, positioned in the shop window.

It’s worth it just to see the looks on people’s faces as they walk by, although you should brace yourself as it does tickle.
