Parrot Nest Lodge, Belize

Described as a “truly unique tropical experience”, Parrot Nest Lodge in Belize is home to two thatched tree-houses, four cabins and two bath-houses.

The lodge is surrounded on three sides by the Mopan River, and is home to an abundance of wildlife such as, of course, parrots, along with giant iguanas, coati and agouti. The surrounding land is heavily populated by archeological sites, jungle walks, butterfly farms, medicine trails and more.

The family-run lodge provides fresh and healthy meals, with vegetarian options available on request, and clean drinking water is always available. Meals are served on the verandah of the main house, and the whole area is virtually mosquito free, so the only dinner guests will be those with an invitation!
